Jonathan Trappe update

In July I made a post about Jonathan Trappe's plan to be the first person to cross the Atlantic since Colonel Joe Kittinger did it in 1984.  Five people have died trying to make the crossing.

He is currently in Caribou, Maine, and plans to make his attempt sometime this month.  The original post showed most of his gear, but a key component has been added.   He plans to use a small boat as his gondola.  He has done some testing and the results look promising.  The Daily Mail has a video accompanying their article about Trappe.

Visit Jonathan Trappe's website to read more about his lighter than air adventures.

Wishing Jonathan the best of luck in his attempt.
